Class At Emory
University!
In the past I have taught
an introductory class titled "Decorative
Wood Boxes" as part of the "Evening
At Emory" series within their "Center
For Lifelong Learning" program. This was a fun class wherein we explored the issues of
box design and fabrication and each student assembled a walnut octagonal box
(approx. 9" W x 8" D x 4" H), as shown above, ready for finishing. Check with Emory for additional woodworking

Coopering Class
Over the past few years I have taught one-day classes on
coopering at
Highland
Hardware in Atlanta, Georgia. In the class the students learn the
coopering technique I have developed that uses a table saw. The most
important point of the technique is: it allows one to cooper ANY curve (linear
[i.e. circles], or nonlinear [e.g. ovals, hyperbolas, free form, etc.] and
reversing,) WITHOUT the use of any higher mathematics. The students
complete an oval gift box ready for finishing in the class.
