Cypress Bird

The idea for this bird came to me in the middle of the night.  I got up and started on it right then.  It's size and shape were constrained by the size of the cypress log I had.  It is one piece (i.e. there are no joints nor seams).
The web feet are carved to appear as though the bird just landed on the cypress stump from which it was carved.

The eyes are a hole that passes through the head.
